DESCRIPTION
The villa lies in the centre of the village of Monterchi, a small hill village close to Arezzo, which holds the most famous fresco of Piero della Francesca called "La Madonna del Parto". The villa was built in the 1700s on the old medieval walls of the castello and you can still see a keep and the remains of the walls that run round the gardens of the villa, where they have made an italian terraced garden holding a private 4x9m swimming-pool, a furnished gazebo, an area for dining outside and several relaxation areas. The villa is furnished with antique pieces and is equipped with everything you might need: dishwasher, washing-machine and dryer, satellite-TV, internet high-speed connection, and the bathrooms have recently been renovated. You can also arrange for someone to cook for you in the evenings when you make the booking, organize wine/food tasting tours and guided excursions. Monterchi is an attractive, quiet village, where you can also find excellent restaurants, and is close to several cultural centres where famous artisits have left their best works: Michelangelo (Caprese 25 kms), Giotto (Assisi) 75 kms, Della Robbia e Vasari (Arezzo 30 kms).
