Chianti is like an enormous landscape in a work of art: the territory between Siena and Florence, with its beautiful hills and wonderful landscape, sculpted magically through the centuries by the harmonious interaction between the work of man and of nature, is now undoubtedly one of the most famous areas in the world. And that's as it should be: the area is a continuous succession of medieval villages, castles, churches, farmhouses and monastries in a hilly landscape alternating vineyards, olive groves and woods, creating a unique harmony, capable of enchanting and taking by surprise even the most sophisticated visitor, attracted by the peace and quiet and by the elegant warmth of the hospitality here. Villa Tabernulae presents a perfect opportunity for immersing oneself in the Chianti life-style: it's a centuries-old farmhouse at the heart of a large farming estate producing an excellent olive-oil, and lying exactly half-way between Florence and Siena, in a green oasis surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, vineyards and cypress trees in an unforgettable landscape. It has been renovated with the aim of providing truly excellent hospitality: the use of traditional materials, the old fireplaces and the warm, elegant and comfortable furnishings of old tuscan tradition coupled with a regard for the finer details and for the maximum comfort of guests. The entire house is equipped with air-conditioning, and all of the rooms have bar/fridge, safe deposit-box satellite-TV, telephone and internet connection. Besides the main kitchen with its large dining area, the house offers several living areas and 3 more kitchens. At the lower level a health centre has been installed (open from 9-18 except Sundays) with sauna, massage table, gym area and a marvellous heated hydromassage tub with large panoramic windows, framing the wonderful surrounding countryside. There are lots of leafy areas for staying outside, a patio furnished for dining outside, relaxation areas, and above all a magnificent swimming-pool with hydromassage and waterfall, with a view of the hills as far as the horizon. The management, who speak english, have a small office with separate entrance on the ground floor and can offer various services: airport transfers, guided tours, bookings for restaurants and museums, massages and facials, cooking courses, and the organization of lunches and dinners, which are served in a rustic room with fireplace inside an ex-haybarn or in the open air in the threshing area - a discreet and attentive organization to complete an unforgettable holiday for recharging the batteries.
