DESCRIPTION
Taormina has always been a popular tourist destination visited by some very famous people starting with William II of Germany, followed by personalities such as Goethe, Maupassant, D. H. Lawrence, A. France, Oscar Wilde and Brahms. The sea has always played an important economic role here and, over the years, it has been constantly maximized and developed by the locals inhabitants: in the past the sea provided work for a multitude of local fishermen, but today Taormina is most famous as a tourist attraction with wonderful locations such as Isola Bella, Capo S'Andrea, Mazzarò and Baia delle Sirene. The stunning panoramic views offered by these places and the wealth of nature around them have contributed significantly to the city’s remarkable international fame. The symbol of Taormina is the Greek Theater which is of Hellenistic origin and dates back to the 3rd century B.C. This beautiful theater is still used today for cultural and artistic functions such as the series of international events known as "Taormina Arte" which are held every year during the summer months. Villa Serenella is situated around 800 meters from Corso Umberto, the true historical center of Taormina, approximately 600 meters from the cable car that goes to the beach on Isola Bella, in a very panoramic position. In fact, from the terrace, the solarium and in the garden, it is possible to enjoy spectacular views of the whole gulf. The modern furnishings blend in perfectly with the original structure of the house and the genuine masters and objets d’art create a sophisticated and welcoming environment. The villa has air conditioning in every room, satellite TV, dishwasher, washing machine and covered parking spaces for 2 cars. Nearest town: Catania Distance: |
