DESCRIPTION
Villa Parmina lies in the town of Taormina, five minutes on foot from the old town centre, and has two entrances - one is reached on foot from the main street and the covered garage, and the other is via a side street which can be reached by car. The villa is completely surrounded by a large garden (2000 sq. m.) where they have also made a 6x12m swimming-pool. The grounds are furnished with relaxation areas and a barbecue, and on the right-hand side tall trees give cool shady areas, and from every point you can enjoy a lovely view of the sea. The town of Taormina lies exactly 200 metres above sea-level, and the particular way that it has developed makes it seem just like a terrace provided with a beautiful view, in which the nearby volcano of Mount Etna dominates the scene. Throughout history the town has always been an important tourist destination and has attracted such celebraties as William II of Germany, many writers such as Goethe, Maupassant, D. H. Lawrence, A. France, Oscar Wilde, and musicians such as Brahms. The beauty of Taormina has also drawn many film directors who have chosen the town as a backdrop to their films.
