DESCRIPTION
Villa Hyria lies in a tranquil position in the Apulian countryside about 2 kms from the town of Oria, a typical baroque town whose origins go back to the year 1000. It has all the services you might need: shops, banks and excellent restaurants, and a particular curiosity you should not miss is the museum for the traditional local ice-cream; the Ethnographical Museum is also interesting and has the largest number of exhibits in the south of Italy. The villa is half-way between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea, about 25 kms away, and you can find both beaches with services and absolutely deserted beaches - surrounded by untouched countryside and with a beautiful limpid blue sea. You will find open-air restaurants everywhere, where you can enjoy excellent fish dishes from local catches, accompanied by local wines such as Negroamaro and Primitivo. Villa Hyria lies at the centre of a garden of 4500 sq. metres, completely enclosed, with a pine wood opposite and a field with palm trees and olives behind, where they have made a wooden gazebo with barbecue, cooking surface, sink and dining area, as well as a private 15x6m swimming-pool with sunbathing area, an open-air shower and a small external bathroom (WC with washbasin). The furnishings are modern and comfortable, and the house is equipped with DVD/CD player, TV, dishwasher, laundry with washing-machine, mosquitoe-netting on the doors and windows, air-conditioning in the bedrooms. It lies 35 kms from Brindisi airport, 35 kms from Ostuni, 45 from Taranto and 60 from Lecce.
