DESCRIPTION
The San Girolamo farm lies in the village of Badiola, about 6 kms from Castiglione della Pescaia, a famous sea-side resort on the tuscan coast. The villa was part of a large estate belonging to the well-known Lorena family, and just a few years ago it underwent a complete renovation that has transformed and improved every corner of the building while successfully maintaining the main architectural features. The delicacy and care with which the operation was carried out can also be seen in the choice of the furnishings, many of which are antiques, and in the selection of every detail; the bathrooms are all decorated with marble of varying colours and the kitchen is highly equipped: professional burners, ovens, dishwasher and several useful accessories for preparing excellent meals. The villa also comes with satellite-TV, stereo with CD, telephone, air-conditioning and heating; and in the price are included 4 hours of house-cleaning 6 days a week. You can also organise a cooking service to be paid on the premises. The grounds are extensive and include a large private swimming-pool (8x16 m.) with hydromassage area and children's playpool, a covered open-air dining-area with barbecue, furnished relaxation areas and covered parking area. The owner stays in a separate annex, and will be available for any help you may require. The hills of Maremma are particularly beautiful and slope down towards the sea amid centuries-old olive groves and cultivated fields. Castiglione della Pescaia can be reached in ten minutes by car, where you can hire sun-shades and deck-chairs on well-maintained beaches, and in the town you will find all the services you might need along with excellent restaurants and pleasant streets to stroll about in. In thirty minutes by car you can reach the nature reserve called "Il Parco Naturale dell'Uccellina" and the beaches at Argentario. Grosseto is 12 kms away, Florence and Rome can be reached in about two hours by car. San Girolamo is recommended to family groups with no more than 4 children less than 12 years old.
