DESCRIPTION
Il Borgo delle Salaiole lies in a lovely, quiet valley close to the ancient road that once ran from Florence to the valleys of the Mugello. Both of the apartments are the result of the careful renovation of a farmhouse close to the manor house, and have the use of a nice 6x12m swimming-pool with dressing-room and shower, as well as a pleasant shared loggia furnished with tables and a barbecue. The interior furnishings are of a high quality level and consist mostly of period furniture. There are many pleasant trips that can be organized in the surrounding hills, with various levels of effort involved. Small domestic pets are allowed, with a maximum of one per apartment. There is a telephone for incoming calls, and parking inside the grounds. A cot is available on request. Borgo San Lorenzo is about 6 kms away with shops of all kinds, Florence (which can be conveniently reached in about 20 minutes by train) is about 25 kms away, and 15 kms away is the lake at Bilancino where there are various water sports and a golf course.
