DESCRIPTION
These apartments are right in the heart of Atrani, the oldest seafaring village on the Amalfi Coast, and are just a short walk from the attractive and tranquil little piazza, where the locals get together and where there are bars, restaurants and shops and where you can observe daily life here in all its aspects. From the piazza you reach the beach via a passageway created in ancient times to save the boats during the storms and from here in the evening the 'lampare' set out to sea (fishing boats with a large lamp to attract the fish at night), and the lights twinkling in the dark at night offer the most wonderful sight. Atrani is perhaps the best preserved village on the Amalfi Coast and its original medieval structure is still intact - with alley ways, narrow streets, courtyards, arches, little piazzas and the typical local flights of steps. The young and free atmosphere of Atrani is a big attraction. The two apartments are in an attractive building in the old village centre, both on the same floor. A car is not essential here because you can reach all kinds of public services on foot: the beach, restaurants, food shops. The bus stop is about 300 metres away.
