DESCRIPTION
Il Peccio lies in a panoramic spot in the hills of the Chianti Classico area about 2 km from San Casciano Val di Pesa. This is an attractive, completely renovated Tuscan farmhouse, that has maintained intact its original architectural features, with old terracotta floors and wooden-beamed ceilings, and the floor of the loggia is still made of the original flagstones where they used to lay out the corncobs to dry. Surrounding the house are olive-groves interspersed here and there with vines producing the famous Chianti wine. The house is in a very tranquil and panoramic position, and in the private garden there is a swimming-pool for the private use of guests. The town of San Casciano offers all the services you might need and can be reached in just a few minutes by car. The access road to the house is not tarred for the last eight hundred meters. Il Peccio has high-quality, typical Tuscan furniture from the end of the 1800s, and is equipped with telephone, wireless internet access, heating, dishwasher, washing-machine, satellite TV, stereo with CD player, and microwave oven. In the area several vineyards offer the possibility of tasting high-quality wines and the restaurants all keep to the excellent traditions of the local cuisine.
