DESCRIPTION
Il Cipresso is approximately 10 minutes away from Florence by car, and lies to the south-east of the city where the hills leading to the Chianti district begin. It is situated within a 17 hectare estate that includes a large farmhouse built in the 1700s (originally part of a local monastery), where the owner lives with her family and this beautiful residence located in a recently renovated barn. One part of the barn is still used as a cellar and winery where a small amount of wine and olive oil – obtained from the estate’s 5 hectares of vineyards and olive-groves - is produced for the personal consumption of the owners. The indoor areas are very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Outside there is a private lawn with a table, sun umbrella and armchairs for relaxing and eating “al fresco”. Guests can use the scenic 6 x 14 meter swimming pool – which is shared with the owners – that overlooks the valley (at the bottom of which runs a stretch of motorway). Next to the swimming pool is an area furnished with sun beds and a comfortable veranda that has a large table and sofas. The convenient and central position of this property (there is a bus stop just 500 meters away where buses to Florence stop every 15 minutes), make it ideal for exploring the city and its museums, as well as the many natural and artistic beauties of the Chianti district, Siena and the rest of Tuscany. A convenient wooden staircase in the living room leads up to the FIRST FLOOR: box room, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom (both bedrooms have large French windows onto the garden with the typical “honeycomb” structure characteristic of Italian barns), 1 bathroom with shower. Outdoor area furnished with table and sun umbrella, armchairs and small table in the shade of an olive tree and small table with chairs. Air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room.
