DESCRIPTION
This charming old country residence is situated very close to the seaside town of Santa Caterina, immersed in the peaceful countryside of Salento. The house is simply, practically and pleasantly furnished and has all the necessary amenities. It is surrounded by a large garden that includes a beautiful swimming pool (7.5 x 16 m) and several equipped areasf or the use of guests. The little seaside town of Santa Caterina is around 2 Km away and has a small sandy beach as well as tiny rocky coves that offer easy access to the sea. There are several splendid beaches and small rocky coves situated just a short distance away from the house such as, for example, Santa Maria al Bagno, with its wonderful sandy beach and, slightly to the north, the Parco Naturale di Porto Selvaggio, famous for the crystal waters of its bay and fresh water springs. Visitors have to park on the road and walk along a shaded pathway to reach the Nature Park. The town of Gallipoli, with its splendid, long sandy beaches, is 15 Km away. Lecce, famous for its baroque architecture, is less than 30 minutes away by car (around 30 Km). The nearest food store is 600 meters from the house. The airports of Brindisi (80 Km) and Bari (190 Km) can be easily reached via the excellent four lane motorway. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and the dining room.
