DESCRIPTION
Just a few kilometers from Florence, in the countryside around Montelupo Fiorentino - a town famous for its ceramics - lies, at the top of a hill, in a tranquil and panoramic position, surrounded by olive trees and cypresses, Casa delle Azalee, an old hay-barn, now an elegant and comfortable detached house. It has been very well renovated, preserving all of the details of the old building and using the traditional materials - old local stone, wooden-beamed ceilings, floors in antique terracotta - and has been equipped with all material comforts: central heating, fast internet connection, washing-machine, safe deposit-box, alarm system. Outside there is a large, light veranda furnished with tables, chairs and a wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside. The swimming-pool (10.5 x 7.5m) has a hydro massage area, and is furnished with sun beds, tables and chairs and lies close to the olive grove in a splendid, tranquil and panoramic position: the pool is also used by the owners who live in a house not far away and are always available if you need anything. Once a week they offer guests a culinary surprise, so that you can try some of the typical Tuscan dishes and can also, given some notice, organize several services that can make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable (hire of a cellular phone with pre-paid card, preparation of some typical local desserts, museum bookings, guided tours, tickets for concerts, personal shopper). The most famous cities in Tuscany are all within easy reach from here: Florence is just 20 minutes away, Vinci 10 minutes, Pisa 30 minutes, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano are just 50 minutes away.
