DESCRIPTION
The countryside around Cetona is so beautiful that you could almost imagine it to be a representation of a scene from the renaissance, with the stone houses merging into the delicate tuscan countryside. Borgo Matero lies 1 km from the little village of Piazze, with food shops and some restaurants, and about 7 kms from the village of Cetona, well-known for the its pleasant countryside and for the continuing presence of international stars of culture and entertainment. 6 kms away is San Casciano dei Bagni, a famous hot-springs and holiday centre with excellent facilities and a high-quality health farm. Borgo Matero lies inside a large estate and consists of four independent houses renovated while maintaining intact their tuscan style, and furnished with excellent taste choosing high-quality furniture and fittings. Each house has its own independent outside area furnished for dining outside and guests have shared use both of a 7x14m swimming-pool about 100m from the houses and of a tennis court. Guests can buy Chianti wine and olive-oil produced by the farm.
