The coastline just south of Naples, known as the Amalfi Coast, is one of the most spectacular and
picturesque in Europe, characterised by very steep, rocky hillsides falling sheer into the sea.
This famous peninsula is like one large terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
Along this coastline, you will find local villages untouched by modern architecture, retaining century-old charm. Famous towns like Positano, Amalfi, Praiano and Ravello offer vibrant life, picturesque harbours, excellent shopping and some of the finest restaurants serving both international and typical traditional cuisine. Each of these wonderful villages and towns offer something different for its visitor.
The beaches, with their beautiful and dramatic backdrops, will mostly be small pebbles. Many of the main beaches along the Amalfi coast have services whereby you will be able to hire sun loungers and parasols for daily rental fees. You will often find cafes and restaurants situated close by or on the beaches, serving the most delicious lunches and dinners.
From this area, you can visit Italy's liveliest city and port, Naples, with its first class museums (Naples National Museum), castles and palaces, art and architecture. This fascinating city offers a wealth of unique experiences. Most of the road connecting Naples with Sorrento is fast motorway, taking about one hour to drive. It is only about 60kms.
Sorrento, Pompei and Mount Vesuvius are within easy reach from Naples. As well as accessible by car, one can also use Italy's network of public transport.
The Bay of Naples claims some of the most luxurious and romantic islands in the world, Capri, Ischia and Procida. These islands offer magnificent plunging views, shimmering blue coves and lush vegetation. Each has its own share of pretty village squares from where to watch the world go by over your Italian coffee. However, each of these islands has a distinctive feel and if you have time, you should discover each one.
The island of Ischia is a well known spa island, with thermal hot springs located around the coast. You will find many Spa Gardens of differing sizes, some located by their private beaches, all of which can be visited for the day for an admission price. Every Spa Garden is different but facilities can include range of swimming pools and restaurants, as well as spa treatments, hot springs and thermal waters with recommended programmes treating a variety of ailments.
To travel to the island of Ischia, you would arrive by Ferry or Hydrofoil. Arriving into Naples airport, you should take the airport bus or a taxi to one of two harbours in Naples where you can board the Ferry or Hydrofoil, taking about one hour to arrive. On arrival, if you have arranged for a rental car, this is where it will meet you or alternatively, there are plenty of taxis.
If you want to visit just for the day, there are various points to board the ferry or hydrofoil depending on the time of year. During Summer, departures can be made from local areas such as Sorrento. Please check timetables and departure points.

Bougainvillea-laced terraces, patios and verandas that are partially shaded with lemon trees, provide uninterrupted views of a sparkling blue sea that you will have trouble leaving every evening.
We have a huge range of apartments in magnificent locations, equipped with all modern conveniences. They have light and bright decor with tasteful furnishings. You will find that even one bedroomed apartments have panoramic terraces fully furnished with garden furniture for Alfresco dining.
Many of our larger properties feature a swimming pool and some have direct access to the beach. Some of our very large villas have staff on site, who can be employed to serve one or all your meals whilst staying at the property.
